Sola Gratia

"Sola Gratia" (Grace Alone) by Steven Amundson (2000)

Listen to a sample from Amundson's Sola Gratia. This is a slow reflective work featuring rich string sonorities and a variety of solo woodwind, horn, and solo strings in a style reminiscent of Aaron Copland. In addition to several contemplative tunes, the work also hints at the well-known tune, Amazing Grace. Sola Gratia has been used for both regular concert programming and in Holiday Concerts.
